Today a writing task has been set for you on purple mash to accompany chapter 3 Of 'Nightfall on the Somme'. The task is to write a letter home to your family about life in the trenches. Try to use your senses to describe, what you could, see, smell, hear, touch and taste, whilst living in such conditions. Read through the powerpoint and try to include some information within your letter. We look forward to reading your wonderful work.
