Protecting Our World
LO: To assess prior knowledge of our world and how we can protect.
In this unit, you will consider if we are damaging our world and how we can protect it. The children will investigate energy production, the oceans and minerals. You will use maps and atlases throughout this unit to locate different countries, regions, oceans and habitats. You will learn to read a range of different types of map, including those that show mineral distribution around the world.
Task 1:
- Write about what you know about our world and how we can protect it.
- Write questions about what you now want to find out.
These should be YOUR own ideas - please avoid using the internet for this task.
Task 2:
Complete the first column of the 'key vocabulary and concepts' sheet. Again, please just write your own ideas. You may not know all of the meanings just yet.
