2023-2024
This is our current year 6 who are trained buddies!
The specialist training they received from LSSP is aimed at promoting physical activity during lunchtimes and tackling behaviour issues that can often arise through inactivity. The pupils learned a variety of games which they can teach to and engage with the KS1 children on the infant playground and LKS2 children.
2022-2023
For a second year we have teamed up with LSSP to train 16 of our Y5 children as PALs - Play and Activity Leaders. We were so impressed by our cohort of PALs last year and hope to replicate this success.

2021-2022
This year we have teamed up with LSSP to train 16 of our Y5 children as PALs - Play and Activity Leaders.
This specialist training is aimed at promoting physical activity during lunchtimes and tackling behaviour issues that can often arise through inactivity. The Y5 pupils learnt a variety of games which they can teach to and engage with the KS1 children on the infant playground. It is wonderful to see them in action with the younger children.
2020-2021
Our playground is very different at the moment due to Covid-19 restrictions and the 'bubbles' to which we must adhere. We are making a point of looking out for each other within our bubbles and so our usual buddy system has not been implemented this year...yet! We look forward to them returning as soon as we can mix across year groups.
Our school buddies are available on the infant playground every day to watch out for children who are lonely or upset. If you need someone to play with look out for our buddies – they’ll be wearing orange jackets so they’re easy to see!
