As well as the literacy tasks for this week (W/B 11th) have a look at this lovely video from the literacy shed. Lily builds a snowman and they share some great times, he comes to live and tells her stories. Warning: a tear jerker! After you have watched the video, would you be able to have a go at writing a set of instructions on how to build a snowman?

We read this book as a class and the children really enjoyed it! It is all about a set of crayons. In the book, the crayons send postcards to Duncan (the boy) saying where they are and how they feel about being lost. The children could have a go at writing their own postcard to Duncan pretending they are one of the crayons! I have attached some pictures underneath for some ideas!
The children could write a piece of writing imagining that they are in the house. What can they see? Where would they go? How would they feel?

Watch this lovely video with your children, the little girl blows a bubble and can go anywhere that she wants to! Ask your children to imagine where they would go if they could transport there in their own little bubble. They can write and draw where they would go in their pink books!
