Emmaus Maths Day
On the school Maths Day at the end of term, we enjoyed exploring and building with 3D shapes. We sorted 2D shapes into sets and talked about the shapes, naming them and counting their sides and corners. We made our own sandwiches using shape cutters for snack.
We wrote numbers on giant paper rolls and counted in French and English too.
We caught numbered ping pong balls in the water play, played Maths games on the Clever Board, ordered and jumped on number squares to 10 outdoors, caught numbered fish, completed sequencing jigsaw puzzles and sorted objects into sets according to colour. We practised recognising and writing numerals one to three on our Chinese Dragon worksheets too. It was a fun filled day!
