Baby Clinic Role Play
The children loved the role play vets. We decided to develop a baby clinic based on the children's current interests in babies (Louie, Orla and Nancy love to tell their friends about their recent arrivals!) We read stories about going to the doctors, the clinic and hospital visits. Lucy talked about breaking her arm and her Mum being a nurse. Many children spoke about immunisations. We painted pictures for the display, looked at X rays and Tate made a model like a set of scales out of the bricks.
Emelia brought in her Mum's stethoscope and told the children about her job as a nurse. We loved dressing up, caring for the babies and giving one another injections and health checks too.
