In Year One we teach the children to read sounds speedily.
We teach Set 1, then Set 2 and finally Set 3. Please see the information your child will send home to see which Set your child needs to practice.
Please play the games below with your child. If they are not sure how to play or they need support let them watch you play first. When they then have a turn we praise the effort they put in, regardless if they have got everything right. With practice and by having fun your child will be able to develop their phonological awareness.
