Liverpool Walker Art Gallery

‘Big Art’ is a permanent exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery. This exhibition allows children from 0-5 to explore costumes, toys, books, games, paintings and sculptures with their parents or carers. Creative play and discovery allow children to experience art and encourage individuality.

Museum of Liverpool

‘Little Liverpool’ is a hands-on fantasy world exhibition for children. This is a permanent exhibition that allows children to explore fun activities to introduce them to the world of museums! Sessions are ran for 30 minutes and tickets are free!

Imagine That!

Imagine That! is a fun packed activity centre which explores art, science and creativity through 4 exciting zones. Each zone is designed with a unique blend of imagination, creation and learning to stimulate all ages.

World Museum

The World Museum (situated next to the Walker Art Gallery) is filled with collections that explore cultures from around the world. The cultures collection highlights Liverpool's status as one of the great ports of the British Empire. You can even see live creatures in their amazing aquarium!

International Slavery Museum

Liverpool's Waterfront is packed full of incredible and amazing museums - one of which is the International Slavery Museum. At this museum you can explore the untold stories of enslaved people and learn about both historic and contemporary slavery. Especially good for KS2 children, the 'Challenging Histories' exhibition shows contemporary art that responds to the history of Liverpool and the transatlantic slave trade.

Liverpool Maritime Museum

The Maritime Museum has a fantastic collection that explores Liverpool's seafaring past where children can find out more about life at sea. The Liverpool Shipping Posters collection documents more than a century of travel to the early 1900s. The artistic posters are a wonderful way of exploring art in the real world!

Sudley House

Explore the old home of George Holt and his family at Sudley House. George Holt was a Victorian merchant who collected amazing period furniture and paintings. His impeccable taste can be seen by exploring his house and gardens in the Aigburth area of Liverpool. There is something for everyone from 'life drawing' to 'soap designing' and paintings of landscapes collected personally by George Holt.

The Lady Lever Art Gallery

This gallery is situated just outside Liverpool in Port Sunlight. This is a beautiful building that holds one of the UK's greatest collections of fine art and decorative art. From classic antiques to amazing paintings, there is plenty to explore at this wondrous gallery.
